AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME
Day 1:
Pilgrimage begins with an overnight flight to Rome!
(Bring a good book, your rosary, and prayer intentions.)
Day 2:
Welcome to Rome! After gathering our bags and meeting our guide, we will enjoy a "get yourself acquainted" tour
of the city and some free time. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 3:
After breakfast, we’re off to Saint Peter’s Square for the Papal general audience with the Holy Father (subject to the Pope’s schedule). Following a lunch break, we’ll tour the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 4:
We’ll enjoy breakfast before departing for a panoramic
sightseeing tour of the city, visiting the Piazza Venezia, the Circus Maximus, the Arch of Constantine, the Colosseum, and the Roman Forum. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 5:
Following breakfast, we will visit the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, the Church of St. Mary Major, as well as the
Archbasilica of St. John Lateran where we’ll have an opportunity to climb the Lateran Steps! We’ll enjoy an afternoon and dinner in Rome at our own leisure. Overnight in Rome.
Day 6:
After breakfast, we’ll visit
Saint Cecilia’s Basilica, the Basilica of St. Bartholomew and the Museum of the Holy Souls
in Purgatory. After some leisure (and gelato!), we’ll
continue our tour at the Church of Saint Maria sopra Minerva, where the body of St. Catherine of Siena resides. We’ll continue onto the Pantheon, and the Church of the Gesù. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 7:
After we enjoy breakfast, we’re off to the Basilica of Saint Peter in Chains where we’ll have the opportunity to view the chains that held St. Peter while he was in the Mamertine prison in Rome. Day 8:

Day 9:
After breakfast, we'll say farewell to Rome and
continue our journey north. Saint Francis abandoned a life of luxury for a life devoted to Christianity after hearing the voice of God, who asked him to rebuild the Catholic
Church and live in poverty. Still today, Assisi bears testimony to the iconic saint’s lifestyle. Mass will be celebrated before dinner.
